The realistic science fiction trilogy Ad Astra

The thrillers are illustrated with marvelous color illustrations which, in a realistic way, describes mankind’s first mission to another Solar System and give the reader a unique knowledge about astronomy and space.

In year 2222, Aristotle, a giant space ship built on the space station W-Binah, sets out for the mankind’s very first interstellar journey – a 23 year long mission to our neighboring star, Proxima Centauri. We follow adults and teenagers, among them high school student Steve Bloomfield from Boulder, USA who will not be back on Earth before he is a grown man. He leaves his girlfriend Michelle, but they promise each other to wait till they meet again when they are both in their late thirties. But in the starship is Aurora, the Norwegian girl he already knows from the trip to the space station W-Hokmah which orbits the Moon...

On the way through the Solar system, the expedition visits the volcanic moon Io, the ice covered moon Europa, Saturn’s moon Titan with its methane oceans and also the icy world Pluto. But after several unexplained accidents, some of the teenagers begin to suspect a man sitting out at night watching old Apollo-films. Has he got anything to do with the accidents? Who is he and what is this reddish light they have seen shining from his neck at night?

Just as the spaceship is about to leave the Solar System, one of the passengers is found dead. But it’s too late to return to Earth, and the crew have to continue on the ten year long journey through empty space without knowing who the killer is.

After a nearly 10 year long trip in interstellar space, and with challenges no one could ever have imagined, the expedition arrives Proxima Centauri, 4.2 lightyears from Earth. It turns out to become a rather unpleasant meeting with our neighboring planetary system, but on two of the planets, the astronauts make unique discoveries.

Just as the crew is about to start the ten year long trip back to Earth, the captain is hit by a mysterious illness at the same time as the Apollo man all of the sudden shows up after keeping silent since they left the Solar system. Why have neither medical examinations nor iris-scanners managed to reveal his identity? And why does he show up just as they are about to leave the star? Shortly after, Steve makes a discovery that will cause his life never again to be the same. Not for him, not for anyone ...

On their way home, a shocking message appears and shows what might happen when the laws of physics are challenged and relativistic effects occurs. Chaotic conditions are triggered, and together with a few others who are still able to function, and in the grief of having lost two people, twenty six year old Steve is asked to assume responsibility for Expedition 2222. But there is no time to lose. A random discovery made in Pluto’s interior reveals that the Apollo man wasn’t the only stowaway on the voyage to the stars and also gives Steve and the other passengers an unexpected possibility to create a whole new future for mankind ...

This is what the readers say:

I have just red Terra Nova, and had a great reading experience! You fully master the science fiction genre. There are many years between each time I read Norwegian books of this quality.
Retired teacher (70)

Thank you for these wonderful books!
Lektor cand. polit (50), Oslo

A student in my class just held a speech about gravitation and Einstein’s theory and the speed of light. Usually I don’t understand much about physics, but this time I understood most of it, thanks to your books!
Hannah Lazzaretti – student (19) in high school.

I am totally stunned'! I have read a lot of books in my life, but none with a perspective in time and space like these. I will never be finished with Terra Nova. There are so many things which fascinates me and excites my curiosity. No other books have ever made such an impression on me as these books.
Arne Borren, philologist

If I had read this book when I was in High School, it would have been a “fairytale”.
Journalist, Oslo

Do you have any plans about a follow-up of the Ad Astra trilogy? I have read it three times and have abstinences about what’s happening further.
Sigmund Espedal

Incredibly good! Everlasting books!
Bookstore manager (28)

Your books are extremely good and very exciting.
Olav (16), high school student

You have created a magical masterpiece!
Headmaster, Secondary School in Buskerud.

I have read all three. Extremely good books!
